An Open Doors Day on the Subject of Employment and Entrepreneurship Will Take Place at the Information Centre for Newcomers in Riga

The Information Centre for Newcomers (ICN) organises an Open Doors Day in Riga on 30 January of this year to inform entrepreneurs about employment of foreigners and to provide information to foreign citizens about employment opportunities and opportunities of starting-up a business in Latvia. Employers, entrepreneurs, employees, representatives of public authorities and other interested persons are invited to participate.

Location of the event: Lacplesa Street 75 – 1 B, Riga

Time: 11.00 - 15.00

From 11:00 to 13:00 an open discussion about challenges of employing foreigners in Latvia will take place and experts of the Information Centre for Newcomers will provide information about support offered by the centre to foreign nationals as entrepreneurs and employees.

In the course of the event every interested person will have an opportunity to meet with representatives of the management of the Information Centre for Newcomers, its customer advisers, ask their questions and receive advice free of charge.

The Information Centre for Newcomers operates as a one-stop agency in Riga and at four regional centres in Latvia – in Daugavpils, Jelgava, Cesis and Liepaja –, providing wide-ranging support free of charge to foreign citizens and service providers from various industries, as well as specialists working with this target group, including entrepreneurs. Since the beginning of ICN activities on 18 May 2016 the centre has provided advice to more than 3 thousand newcomers, who have arrived from countries outside the European Union, for example, India, Ukraine, Russia, China, Pakistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Belarus, the USA, Kazakhstan, Georgia.
