Society “Shelter “Safe House” (Latvia) organizes integration courses for newcomers from countries outside the European Union. The courses are intended for refugees and asylum seekers, as well as anyone who has been living in Latvia for less than five years.
The courses cover the basics that are important when starting a new life in a new country. Employment and business, housing, traditions, culture and history, the social system, education. At the end of the course, a creative workshop provides practical examples of leisure and hobby opportunities.

The project "Latvia – a country by the Baltic Sea!" is implemented with the support of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund for the period 2021-2027, grant agreement No. PMIF/13.3./2023/1/04. The total project funding is EUR 302,765.06, consisting of EUR 227,073.79 from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and EUR 75,691.27 from the Latvian state budget.
