Job duties: to interpret being present physically and by phone, ensuring communication between the customer and the visited specialist/adviser; to respect confidentiality.

Other languages may be needed as well, for example, Tajik, Azerbaijani, etc., according to countries of origin and language skills of asylum seekers.

Society “Shelter “Safe House” interpreting services are provided under the participation agreement concluded between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia and Society “Shelter “Safe House” on 29 February 2016, on execution of certain public administration tasks for integration of third-country citizens. Within the framework of this agreement, the above mentioned target group is provided with interpreting services and advice on social and legal matters, which can be received calling to +371 25565098, writing to: konsultacijas@patverums-dm.lv, as well as personally (with a prior appointment) – in the premises of Society “Shelter “Safe House” at Lacplesa Street 75-9/10, Riga. Interpretation service is available both for customers (for communication with landlords, when opening a bank account and in other situations) and professionals working with third-country nationals – such as local government officials, medical professionals and education specialists. If necessary, the society finds interpreters for other languages, except for Russian and English.
