NGO “Shelter “Safe House””, which actualizes the
society of the social sphere, acts as an active partner of other NGOs, state
and municipality, under the Soros Foundation Latvia in Riga
"Help me to stay in Latvia!"
and the project of the European Refugee Fund (EBF) « I`m staying in Latvia",
supported by the of Foreign Affairs, on 19 May
in Riga, at Kr. Valdemara street 3, in the conference hall of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs will organize an international conference "Shelter -what does it mean in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia?". Discussions will be
about the integration of immigrants and refugees in the Baltic countries. The conference is
planned to include representatives of Estonia,
Latvia, Lithuania and
international institutions, for a total of 50 persons. The working languages of the conference will be Latvian, English and Russian.
During the conference from 10:00 to 15:10 will
listen reports on the experiences of public and private sectors of the Baltic
countries in the integration of refugees, as well as on global trends and
issues. Panel discussion will be
about the general and excellent between the countries in the integration of
refugees and generalize it, what issues will need to work in the future so that
we could speak about the long-term integration.
