Society “Shelter “Safe House”” informs that, taking into account the state of emergency declared in the country, integration courses and courses of Latvian within the project “Support Activities for Persons Under International Protection” for now have been suspended for an indefinite period of time. The course of Latvian for the 11th group, which started in February and was implemented in CAS Mucenieki, was interrupted, but the start of the integration course for the 19th group was postponed.
“Not to forget, what has already been learned during lessons of Latvian, it is essential not to stop and to continue learning the language. Therefore, persons under international protection have been informed about opportunities of learning Latvian on their own (to the extent possible) using different remote learning aids for learning of Latvian,” the project manager Zanda Rudene indicates.
