In the association "Shelter "Safe Home"," within the project "We are diverse, living in Latvia," preparations are underway for puppet theater performances featuring Ukrainian and Latvian children aged 7 to 10. Two teams are working on the performances in Riga and Liepaja.
In Riga, the Ukrainian director Olena Sirichenko is leading the production. Under her guidance, young actors are engaging with familiar material – the fairy tale "Three Little Pigs and the Wolf."
The performance is in Latvian. Language acquisition is faster and easier for the youngest children. Staging the performances helps not only in fostering friendships but also in improving Latvian language skills.
The most crucial moment for an actor is the premiere. The same applies to puppet theater, even when the actors are children! The big bad wolf is getting ready to huff and puff with all his might, while the little pigs strengthen the defense of their homes to meet the audience on December 15th!
The premiere will take place in the hall of Riga Secondary School No. 45, starting at 12:30 p.m. Everyone interested, including young Ukrainian and Latvian artists and their assistants, is invited to attend. They will be grateful for the audience`s attention!
The project "We are diverse, living in Latvia!" is financially supported by the Society Integration Foundation from the allocated funds of the Latvian state budget. The content of the project is the responsibility of the association "Shelter "Safe Home."
