Seminar “Refugees: in Latvia and the World” in Aizkraukle

On 11 October 2016 in Aizkraukle, during the project “Information Centre for Immigrants”, the association “Shelter ‘Safe House’” organised a seminar-discussion “Refugees: in Latvia and the World”. The seminar was attended by 18 representatives from State and municipal organisations and NGOs from all five regions of Latvia. Asylum seekers from the asylum seeker accommodation centre “Mucenieki” also participated in the event. They had the opportunity to see Aizkraukle and its infrastructure by visiting the town’s Sports Hall and the Aizkraukle History and Art Museum, as well as by meeting the seminar attendees, all the while mutually discussing topics of interest.
