On March 27th of this year, employees and volunteers of the project `Latvia - a country by the Baltic Sea!` in collaboration with the always active Easter bunny, invited the residents of the Refugee Center `Mucenieki` to the festivities. This was a splendid concluding event for the first groups who successfully completed the introductory course on life in Latvia.
Together, everyone learned to paint eggs using various techniques: both bright, vibrant colors and the traditional brown from onion skins. The creative process results delighted both young and old!
Festival participants listened to folk songs about spring and Easter. Meanwhile, in the dances, not only were they observed - everyone could participate by dancing or playing music on ethnographic instruments! Thanks to Ernests Spīčs and the ethnographic community for involving everyone. Everyone experienced that Latvian culture can be sparkling, cheerful, and extraverted!
Also, thanks to the multifunctional center of Mucenieki in Ropaži district for the warm welcome and support during the event!

The total financing of the project is 302,765.06 euros, which consists of 227,073.79 euros from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and 75,691.27 euros from the Latvian state budget.
