Activities "Integration event for families with children" and "Integration event for seniors” were arranged as discussions among third-country nationals and the host society at the similar social situation, and were focused on the needs of vulnerable groups, as the project partner NGO "Shelter "Safe House"" has the experience in the work with third-country nationals. The consultations for the target group were provided in the frame of the project. The impact of the integration event was increased by the provided possibility to explore the cultural and historic resources of Latvia.
Maruta Castrova, the chairman of the NGO "Ritineitis" has said: "As the NGO has developed experience to implement activities of this type and we understand the needs of participants, as well as we have passed a training course for intercultural communication, we make sense of importance of integration into Latvian society. We plan to continue to implement similar projects and to become active partners in the integration of third country nationals in our region".
