Training “Volunteer Leadership School”

To develop volunteer skills in attracting supporters for implementing the integration activities and to promote sustainable volunteer movement in Latvia, on 22 and 23 April in Riga’s Rixwell Old Palace Hotel, the association “Shelter ‘Safe House’” organised the training “Volunteer Leadership School”, during which 20 volunteers from Latvia learned about volunteering and its legal regulations, developed their leadership skills, and planned the implementation of further, cooperative integration activities. Among the participants were volunteers from Riga, Daugavpils, Liepāja, Jelgava, Cēsis, Pāvilosta, as well as Algeria and Germany. The project “Information Centre for Immigrants” co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund.Grant Agreement No.PMIF/12/2016/1/1.
