Visit to Saeima, April 17

On April 17, members of the Latvian everyday speech club – third-country nationals – visited Saeima as part of the class. Target group representatives acquire practical Latvian language skills in the said club. Acquiring language skills in a non-formal setting lowers the barrier to speak Latvian and encourages the target group representatives to create dialogues both on everyday topics and specific issues. Latvian everyday speech club aims at creating a friendly, welcoming and open environment, attracting migrants to learn the language, increasing their motivation to become naturalized, establishing a lasting support system to improve language skills. The project is co-financed by the European Union. Implementation of the project "Diverse Solutions for Public Education and Integration 3" is co-financed by the European Fund for the Integration of Third-Country Nationals (75%) and state budget (25%). This publication is supported by the European Fund for the Integration of Third-Country Nationals. Responsibility for the content of this publication lies with the society “Shelter “Safe House””. 08.05.2015.
