Workshop Class in Aluksne

In order to strengthen the vocabulary “Kitchen” learned during the Latvian language classes, participants of Aluksne groups – third-country nationals – along with their families were invited to participate in workshops “Waiting for Valentine`s Day” held in a training kitchen together with the teacher Dace Alksne. Participants prepared a festive treat – caramelized nuts in sugar syrup and almonds in red wine, baked puff pastry pies with various fillings, prepared a dessert and studied the secrets of preparing chocolate and tempering products, as well as learned the Latvian names of cookware and kitchen-ware. The project is co-financed by the European Union.
